Select Tiers (Concourse / Premier / Field Level)

Panini Select splits one base set into three stadium-themed tiers, each scarcer and differently designed than the last.

ConceptVocabulary rather than a finish

Panini Select does something no other major line does with its base set: it splits it into three tiers, themed as levels of a stadium. Concourse is the entry tier, Premier Level sits above it, and Field Level is the top. Each tier gets its own design treatment, and each is scarcer than the one below.

This is not a parallel ladder. All three tiers are base cards — the same player appears once in each — and every tier then has its own full run of prizm colour parallels stacked on top of it. So "a Select Silver" is an incomplete description: a Field Level Silver and a Concourse Silver of the same player are two different cards, often at very different prices.

How to tell which tier you are holding

1. Read the card number. The base set runs through the tiers in order — Concourse first, then Premier Level, then Field Level — so the number places the card. The ranges are re-cut every year, so check that year's checklist rather than a remembered split.
2. Look at the design. The tiers are visually distinct by intent: different framing, different photography treatment, often a different amount of the stadium visible behind the player.
3. Check the listing text. Sellers who know the product name the tier; ones who do not are the reason cheap Field Levels exist.
