On most pack platforms the shipping cost is the last number you learn. We publish the method, the options and the rules here first — and inside the app the cost is quoted live from Canada Post for your exact shipment and shown to you before you confirm it. There is never a version of Waffles where the rate is a surprise.
Shipping is open
When you choose SHIP on a card, we collect the delivery address and the service you want, price it against the carrier, and send the physical card from Calgary. The card leaves your vault when it ships.
The carrier decision is made: Canada Post, shipping from Calgary, AB. Tracked rates are quoted live rather than taken from a fixed table, so there is no table of numbers to publish here — there is a method, and it is described below.
The three options
Every shipment is one of these three. The app shows all three, including the ones you cannot use for a given card and the reason why — a hidden option looks like an option that does not exist.
Carrier: Canada Post, origin Calgary, AB. Tracked prices are whatever Canada Post quotes for the weight, size and destination of your parcel at the moment you request it — that quote is what you are shown and what you pay. Duties and import fees on international shipments are the recipient's.
About the free option
A stamp and an envelope, at no cost to you — we cover the postage. It is a genuinely good deal on a cheap card and a genuinely bad idea on an expensive one, and we let you make that call yourself rather than deciding for you.
Letter mail has no tracking, no insurance and no proof of delivery. If it goes missing there is nothing to trace and nothing to claim. For a two-dollar common that is a fair trade. One envelope carries up to 4 cards.
There is no value limit — the free option is offered on a card of any worth. That is deliberate, and it puts the choice with you: a lost envelope is a total loss with nothing to trace and nothing to claim, whether the card inside is worth two dollars or four figures. If you would mind losing it, pick tracked.
What we commit to
The price before the confirm, always
You see the shipping cost on the screen where you request the shipment, before you confirm it — not after you already own the card, and never as a bill that turns up later. The single loudest complaint pattern in this market is discovering a painful shipping charge at redemption. That is the thing we are refusing to build.
A real quote or an honest blank
Tracked rates come live from Canada Post for your exact parcel and destination. When that quote cannot be obtained — carrier down, address not yet complete, service not offered — the app says "Shipping calculated during request" and the cost is confirmed with you before anything is charged. It never shows an estimate dressed up as a price, and it never shows $0.00 to mean "unknown".
Untracked is a choice, never a default
The free option is a stamp and an envelope. That means no tracking, no insurance and no proof of delivery, and we say so on the option itself rather than in a footnote. It is never preselected, and it is never chosen for you — there is no value ceiling, so the decision on a valuable card is yours to make with the risk stated plainly.
One source of truth
This page and the shipping screen inside the app are written from the same set of rules. There is no marketing version of the rules and no separate app version that can drift apart from it.
