Enchanted is Disney Lorcana's top rarity. An Enchanted card is an alternate version of a card that already exists in the set: same name, same cost, same abilities and same rules text, reprinted with entirely new artwork that fills the card face and a shimmering foil treatment across it.

How to spot one

1. Compare it against the ordinary version. The normal printing frames its illustration in a window. An Enchanted runs the art across the whole face, with the text laid over it.
2. Tilt it. The shimmer is applied over the full card rather than to one region, and it moves as a single sweep.
3. Check the rarity marker. Lorcana prints its rarity as a small symbol on the card, and the Enchanted tier has its own — so the tier is stated on the card rather than inferred.

Why it costs what it does

An Enchanted plays exactly like the ordinary card, so nobody needs one to build a deck. Demand for it is entirely collector demand, driven by the character and by how much the new artwork is loved — and it is seeded far below the normal version. That combination, a card with no play requirement and real scarcity, is what makes Enchanteds the chase cards of a Lorcana set.

The same idea under four names

Every one of the big games has this mechanism and calls it something else: Pokémon has alternate arts and Special Illustration Rares, Magic has borderless printings, and Lorcana has Enchanted. Recognising that they are one idea — take an existing card, give it new art, print fewer — is most of what the TCG parallels guide is about.
